What it does
- Type by talking. Speak, and your words go straight into a chat box or any document.
- Scratch pad. Or dictate into the pad, then copy it, save it as a .txt file, or print it. A word count keeps track. Minimize it when you don't need it.
- Read aloud. Paste or drop text into the pad and have it read to you. Pick a voice and set the speed and volume. Handy for small print.
- Know when it's working. A small red indicator appears in the bottom-right corner only while it's transcribing.
- Always handy. After installation, a blue-and-white microphone icon floats on top of your desktop. Double-click it to open the scratch pad.
Good to know
- Runs on your PC. Saves text only; no audio is saved.
- Two files, kept in the same folder:
EchoLogs-MVP-2.0.5.exe(about 79 MB) and the speech modelggml-base.en-q5_1.bin(about 60 MB; don't rename it). - Needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a microphone.
